|Het Nieuwe Dijkhuis|
The Bowery is coming to ‘Het Nieuwe Dijkhuis’ on Saturday 15 February. The Bowery brings a great combination of honest and raw, acoustic music in combination with personal stories.
During the performance, music goes hand in hand with stories that come close. Due to the great success of the debut album “Broken Jars” the duo went on a theater tour through the country at the end of 2019. The Bowery (Rokus Maasland and Ramon Scherrenberg) touches sensitive strings and quickly wins fans. The acoustic music with folk and (sometimes) raw edges also attracts attention. It is music that is remarkably direct and open about the “ups and downs” of life, but also about the hope that is heard in it.
During the concert in Doetinchem, special guest cellist Ardie van der Knijff plays along with The Bowery. Not only the repertoire of the debut album, but also well-known songs from other artists get a place in the repertoire of the evening: “Stories determine a lot in our music,” says Rokus Maasland. “We keep the magnifying glass on ourselves and hope in that environment that it will also reach the people.”
Tickets cost 16.20 euros in advance via their website (including service costs) or 18 euros on the evening itself at the door.
